What we collect
- Votes and contributions. When you vote a city badge, answer "does this match your pay?" or send a pay report or message, we store your answer, the page and the time. Your IP address is never stored: we keep a one-way salted hash of it, renewed every year, only to allow one vote per person and to stop abuse.
- Saved comparisons stay in your browser (localStorage). They never reach our server.
- E-mail, only if you write to us or leave it in the contact form, used only to reply.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how pages are used, and Google AdSense to show ads. These services may set cookies and process your IP address and device information under their own policies: how Google uses information from sites that use its services, Microsoft privacy statement. You can opt out of personalised ads at Google Ads Settings. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland see Google's consent message before ads are personalised.
Your rights
Ask us to delete a message or contribution at hello@wheretoearn.com. California residents can ask what personal information we hold; we do not sell personal information.
